Kentucky Woman Charged With Setting Mattress Fire to Kill Her Sister – Crime Online

A Kentucky woman was arrested Thursday night and charged with trying to kill her sister by setting the mattress where she was sleeping ablaze earlier this year.

Louisville Metro Police said Addison Brown, 22, has been charged with attempted homicide, wanton endangerment, and arson, WLKY reported.

The sister, who wasn’t named, woke up and put out the flames, the station said. Four other people inside the home at the time were not injured.

The incident took place on June 1, WHAS reported. Brown had already fled the scene when emergency services arrived.

Detectives said that Brown sent messages to several people, including her sister, admitting that she set the fire intentionally to kill the victim.

Brown was ordered held on a $250,000 bond.
