Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick’s daughter, Kaia Lily Broderick, is now seven months old and showing how much she’s grown in the past few months. The Valley couple welcomed their first child together in June 2025, and they could not be any more obsessed with her.
Kristen took to her Instagram Story this month, where she celebrated Kaia turning 7 months old. In the adorable photos, Kaia can be seen sitting on Luke’s lap, wearing both a onesie and his baseball hat. Kristen returned to her Instagram Story, where she posted another photo of Kaia wearing the same onesie, this time accessorized with a gold color bow around her head and a huge smile on her face.
“Happy 7 months, beautiful girl,” Kristen wrote in the caption of the post.
The Valley mom also gave some insight into just how much Kaia has grown over the past seven months. Kristen took to her Instagram Story on Jan. 12, where she posted a video of Kaia, sitting in her carseat, while Kristen remarked on her height.
“When you’re 98 percent in height, you get your captain’s chair ASAP,” she noted.

Both Kristen and Luke took to their podcast, Balancing Act, on Jan. 10, where they shared some major updates on Kaia’s life. They revealed that she is currently learning how to get on a sleep schedule and that she is very, very strong. “She’s big and strong, she can throw a right hook, probably better than me. And it is not conducive to good sleep,” Luke said during the episode.
“They have sharp ass nails no matter how many times you cut them or file them. And she’s really strong,” Kristen added.

Luke also remarked on how expressive Kaia has become. “There’s way more feedback, way more joy we’re getting from Kaia, like we’re having fun with her than we were in the first couple of months. She is a character. She is amazing,” he explained.
“If she doesn’t like something, without saying words, she’s like, ‘This isn’t working for me,'” Kristen added. “And I now have so many ways to do it differently that I can try. Where in the beginning, I just felt like so lost, so confused, so I must be messing this up.”

Kristen continued on the podcast, admitting that parenting hasn’t been easy, especially when it comes to getting adjusted to her daughter’s sleep schedule. But, she’s very grateful for all of her friends that are parents who have been able to help her along the way.
“I’ve done a lot of reflecting on parenthood, and the thing that I’m most grateful for, other than Kaia having a great dad, is all of the bitches that came before me, and my mom friends, all of my friends who were mothers,” she said. “All of my close mom friends, my own mom of course, my sister, but like truly, my friends that are moms especially the ones that have a younger baby now, and have a toddler, or the ones that gave birth it’s just so f—ing helpful. And so therapeutic, because truly, when parenting feels hard, it feels impossible.”
