Kristen Doute just shared a big update on her baby daughter, Kaia Lily Broderick! The Valley cast member and her fiancé, Luke Broderick, welcomed their first child on June 13, and the proud mom just took a big step on her parenting journey.

On July 20, Kristen took to social media to give an inside look at life with her bundle of joy. She posted a selfie to her Instagram story featuring her sitting in the front seat of the car with Kaia right behind her in the back seat. Kristen explained why this seating arrangement was so significant to the new mom. “First time I haven’t sat in the backseat with her,” Kristen wrote on the photo. “Have the whole fam going to visit [auntie and uncle].”
Along with this parenting update, Kristen also posted a photo featuring her precious baby girl in a darling green headband. “Kaia is sleeping so I’m staring at photos of her,” the Michigan native wrote on the post.

Throughout the past few weeks, Kristen has shared some other stunning photos of her adorable baby girl. She recently shared a selfie of her cuddling her one-month-old daughter. “Dealing with some life stuff. She makes everything better,” the Bravoleb wrote on the Instagram story.
The mom also posted another story of Kaia drinking milk in a cosmic-themed onesie, calling the cute clothing item the “best purchase ever.”
On July 13, Kristen shared a sweet photo of her baby girl to commemorate Kaia’s first month of life! “Happy one month to our favorite little human,” Kristen wrote on the Instagram Story. Luke reposted the flick, adding a series of heartfelt emojis.
Kristen Doute opens up about giving birth to her daughter
After giving birth to Kaia in June, Kristen shared exciting details about her and Luke’s new addition with Us Weekly.
“She’s here, and we still can’t believe it. Luke is even hotter as a dad, and I just feel so lucky,” Kristen told the outlet. “And even though I haven’t slept or showered in two days, seeing our daughter and finally being able to hold her makes it all worth it. We’re completely overwhelmed with love and so grateful for her — our lives are already changed completely.”

Kristen went on to explain that the little one’s name is a nod to Hawaii, where the couple got engaged. “We knew we wanted our baby name to have something to do, or revolve around, water,” she told the outlet of Kaia’s name, which translates to “sea” in Hawaiian. “Lillies are my favorite flower. They’re associated with new beginnings, beauty, and also the name Lily indicates a ‘gentle and compassionate nature, suggesting a kind and caring personality.’”

Kristen Doute sheds light on her fertility journey
The journey to having a baby was not easy for the new parents. Kristen has dealt with pregnancy complications in the past, suffering a miscarriage in 2023 after six weeks of pregnancy. The pair saw a fertility specialist after they got engaged in September 2024, but held off on intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in vitro fertilization options.
“I am on medication now,” she said during a September 2024 episode of her podcast. “That’s kind of as far as we’re going at the moment. We’ve been tested, both Luke and I, just making sure the swimmers are swimming. You know, my body’s ready to carry and we’re looking good on all of that, but for some reason, it’s just not taking.”
