Kristen Doute is setting the record straight on her relationship status with Luke Broderick ahead of The Valley Season 3 premiere. She recently weighed in on a Bravo Instagram post previewing her struggles with Luke three months after giving birth to their daughter, Kaia Lily. After someone asked, “Are they together now?” Kristen wrote back, “Yes” with a pink heart emoji.

“Our relationship is completely lacking intimacy,” Luke reveals, and Jesse sympathizes, “Which is to be expected. It’s tough.” But Luke pushes back, adding, “Right. To some degree. I guess.”
Luke continues, “It should be something that we should be able to talk about, and we haven’t really.”

Meanwhile, Kristen and Nia Sanchez Booko are also getting together and discussing Kristen’s post-partum struggles. “[Luke] gets it as well as he can get it, you know?” Kristen admits, but hints that there’s still trouble between them.
“‘Can we try to have sex?’ ‘Can we do this?’ Like, ‘You’re cleared for that,’” she echoes to Nia, but then explains why she’s resistant. “I also hate my body right now.”
Kristen adds, “He wants to have sex, all the time. And he’s like, ‘Well, I love your body.’ And like, ‘I like that your boobs are bigger and I like that you have a butt.’”
She then admits that her Luke’s intimacy struggles are new for them. “We’ve always had a really healty sex life. And it was just pretty regular,” she says in a confessional interview. “But, sex made a baby, and now sex doesn’t exist.”
However, Kristen also confides in Nia that her desire for Luke isn’t totally gone. “I just need time. Like, I’m attached to [Kaia]. She’s attached to me,” she explains.
Jesse weighs in with some advice from his own marriage and divorce from Michelle Saniei. “I know in my experience, that I would rather have had hard conversations, because frustration turns to resentment very quickly,” he warns.

But Luke reveals that’s not how he and Kristen are handling the situation. “I think my natural defense mechanism to frustrations or whatever, is just, like, basically kind of turning off emotions,” he shares. “Basically, we’re going to sweep everything under the rug, until it hardens into cement, and we’ve got a permanent issue that we can’t get rid of.”

Kristen gave a preview into balancing life as a mother during Season 3 of The Valley when she posted a sweet, behind the scenes look of Kaia Lily sitting on the confessional couch on her Instagram on March 4.
She admitted it was difficult to film Season 3 so soon after giving birth to her daughter. “Filming 3 months after having Kaia really threw me, but we show you the vulnerable always,” Kristen posted on Feb. 18 along with the trailer of the new season.

Kristen has since been busy keeping up with all of Kaia’s new milestones since filming wrapped, revealing on her Instagram stories on Feb. 20 that Kaia said her first words. Her texts with Luke show those words were “Mom, mom…..momma.”
