Since their fallout in 2024, Kristen Doute and Lala Kent have taken big steps to repair their friendship… which appears to be stronger than ever.
Fans got a closer look at the dynamic on Wednesday, October 22, when Kristen shared a throwback photo in celebration of Lala’s seven-year sobriety journey.
“Another oldie/goodie for [Lala Kent’s] sober birthday,” Kristen captioned the Story. “I’m so proud of you and love you so much.”

The Vanderpump Rules alums also marked the milestone with a fun night out with their friends, including The Valley’s Brittany Cartwright, Zack Wickham, Janet Caperna, Jasmine Goode, and Michelle Saniei. The latter documented the get-together on Instagram.
“So much joy celebrating Lala’s 7 years of sobriety last night,” Michelle captioned an October 23 group photo.

Lala decided to go sober in 2018, shortly after her father’s death. She admitted to using alcohol as a “coping” mechanism, but the overconsumption only exacerbated her emotional struggles.
“When I went on the full-on binge drinking for, I believe it was three or four days straight, I just woke up with that feeling of being out of control,” she recalled in a 2022 interview with E! News. “Not knowing what I did, just the guilt and the shame, and that was the moment I said, ‘I’m taking my life back. I’m not living one more day this way.'”

Lala’s beef with Kristen came to light in May 2024, when she accused her ex-castmate of failing to defend her on a podcast. She addressed the rift on the Vanderpump Rules After Show, saying she “could not move past” the incident.
“From my point of view in this footage, Kristen was leaning back, like snickering at what this girl was saying about me as a mom,” Lala explained last year. “And I just could not move past that because I’ve opened up to Kristen about what I deal with with my ex on, like, a real level. Like, not this stuff that I talk about in public. So I just thought it was completely inappropriate of her to laugh.”

The pair, thankfully, buried the hatchet earlier this year, while Kristen was preparing to welcome baby No. 1. Lala shed light on their reconciliation in an episode of her Give Them Lala podcast, confirming they reconnected when she hosted a baby shower for a mutual friend.

“The day before the shower, I got a message from [Kristen],” Lala recalled. “She said she was debating coming to the shower because she didn’t know if it was appropriate for her to welcome herself into my home, with where we’ve been, but she wants to be here to support [their friend] Meredith.”
Lala said she immediately replied to Kristen and took full responsibility for their feud.
“I’m sure it’s gonna be a slow roll,” she said about their reconciliation. “I’m glad that we could make it right before she gives birth, because I missed out on most all of Scheana [Shay’s] pregnancy because we were beefing. I can’t help but think I’m the common denominator with these things. Hey, admitting you have a problem is the first step… I’ve taken a step back in life and really evaluated.”
