Oh baby! The Valley’s Kristen Doute is giving a glimpse into her first few days as a new mom with some adorable new photos.
Kristen and her fiancé, Luke Broderick, announced last week that they’d welcomed daughter Kaia Lily — and it looks like they’re already settling into life as a family of three.
According to images Kristen shared on Instagram, the elated couple’s first few days as new parents have been filled with doctor’s visits, baby snuggles and, of course, a celebration of Luke’s first official Father’s Day.
Kristen took to her Instagram Stories to give fans a glimpse of their new life, sharing an image of the casually dressed couple sharing a kiss as Luke holds the baby carrier. Although Kaia’s face is blocked out in the photo by a pink heart, she can still be seen nestled in the carrier with a cozy pink blanket.
“Sunday morning weight check!” Kristen captioned the shot.
In another photo, mother and daughter are enjoying some down time, cuddling on the couch and watching tv.
Once again, the newborn’s face isn’t visible, but Kristen’s hand is sweetly resting on her daughter’s leg.
Luke Broderick celebrates his first Father’s Day with his and Kristen Doute’s baby girl
The couple is likely learning that caring for a newborn is anything but child’s play, yet Kristen still took a moment on Sunday, June 15 to commemorate a major milestone in Luke’s life. “Happy first Father’s day to my teammate [and] lover for life,” she captioned a pair of images on Instagram. “Kaia and I are so lucky to have you.”
The first image was a photo of Luke lovingly looking into Kristen’s eyes as he cradled her pregnant belly, while the second shot showed the outdoorsman heading down in an elevator with the baby carrier in tow, wearing sunglasses and a huge grin.
It’s clear Luke is already relishing in his new role in his reply to the post.
“Love you honey! My girls are my everything,” he commented along with a smiley face and two heart emojis.

Kristen and Luke shared the news of the baby’s arrival on Friday posting a shot of Kristen holding her daughter’s hand.
“Kaia Lily Broderick, we’ve never known a love like this until you,” Kristen captioned the image.
The Vanderpump Rules alum told Us Weekly that their daughter’s first name, Kaia, is a nod to Hawaii, where they got engaged.
“We knew we wanted our baby name to have something to do, or revolve around, water,” she said of the name, which translates to “sea” in Hawaiian. “Lillies are my favorite flower. They’re associated with new beginnings, beauty, and also the name Lily indicates a ‘gentle and compassionate nature, suggesting a kind and caring personality.’”
Kristen went on to tell the publication that although she hasn’t “slept or showered in two days,” the couple was “completely overwhelmed with love” after meeting their daughter.

The new roles of mom and dad have admittedly been an adjustment for Kristen and Luke, but they aren’t the only family members likely to feel the shift in the family dynamic. Weeks before welcoming her daughter, Kristen opened up to The Daily Dish about how their furry family members, dogs Gibson and Jill, had reacted to her pregnancy.
While Gibson, a Yorkie, has taken a laid back approach, giving “zero F’s,” the couple’s German Shepard has been much more protective throughout Kristen’s pregnancy.
“Since the second I was pregnant, she’s had her head on my stomach,” Kristen said. “It’s crazy because I was hoping to get one of those Instagram videos where the dog has the head on the stomach and then the baby kicks and you see the dog’s reaction. And she doesn’t react. So, I think she just knows. She’s very, very protective of me, though. She doesn’t like strangers coming near me or talking to me… She knows, for sure.”
No word yet on how the pups reacted to meeting Kaia, but we’re hoping Kristen will keep the baby pics coming!
