Kyle Cooke might have spilled too much information about his and Amanda Batula’s sex life on Summer House — and she caught him red-handed.

During a night out in the Hamptons on Season 10, Episode 2, Jesse Solomon brought up how Kyle got “a little spicy” with Amanda when she jumped into the pool in her bra after the Fourth of July bash. As Jesse pointed out, he’d never seen him “jealous or any type of way with her” before.

“[There are] so many things Amanda and I need to talk about,” Kyle explained to him, KJ Dillard, and West Wilson. “I shouldn’t say this, but … the last two years, she smokes weed every night.”

His statement led West to question how that had affected his and Amanda’s sex life, and Kyle intimated that they had not been intimate at all.

He went on to describe Amanda’s “chaotic” lifestyle as causing his apartment to smell and look like “a frat house,” to the point that he had to beg her mother “to come into the city and help” clean.

That’s precisely when Amanda walked up to playfully “eavesdrop” on the guys, before quickly realizing that she had stumbled into a conversation that she actually was not supposed to hear.

Inside Amanda Batula’s fourth wall-breaking response to Kyle Cooke’s sex life reveal

Upon Amanda’s arrival, Kyle said, “Now I feel bad,” prompting KJ to reassure him, “Don’t, bro. We’re here for you.”

That raised alarm bells for Amanda, who demanded that they tell her what was going on. When the guys did not immediately answer, she broke the fourth wall, telling them, “Someone say it. I’m gonna find out one way or another, and it’s better you tell me now in person than to find out on camera.”

Eventually, Kyle admitted, “I just feel like you’re very disinterested in me and … us. You haven’t asked a question in years.” Amanda replied, “You over-exaggerate everything.”

Nevertheless, Kyle continued, “I want companionship and friendship and, like, I don’t get that. You don’t give me anything.”

Insisting that her husband’s claim was “not true,” Amanda clapped back, “You want to talk about companionship and communication? There’s nothing more uncomfortable for me than everyone knowing about how you feel, except for me. It makes it awkward.”

As Kyle explained that he was “putting up smoke signals” for help, because he didn’t know “what else to do,” she suggested that they “talk about this later,” since they were in public at the time.

After Kyle took off, Amanda vented to Ciara Miller, “It just sometimes feels unfair, especially because I put up with so much for so long. And all of a sudden, he’s acting like I’m ruining his life.”

Why Kyle Cooke apologized for airing his and Amanda’s “dirty laundry”

When the couple rejoined their housemates out east the following weekend, Amanda revealed that she and Kyle had not made any progress during the preceding week.

“There was no conversation about what happened last weekend,” she revealed to a Summer House producer. “There was no acknowledgement, there was no other, like, ‘Do you want to talk about it?’ And I’m not doing s–t, as Kyle has so eloquently told everyone. So, I’m prepped and ready for a conversation anytime he is, but nothing, nada.”

Either way, the tension between them remained, as evidenced during a backyard discussion about Kyle’s “drunk” behavior the previous weekend that ended with Amanda walking off to compose herself inside.

A bit later, the group convened for an al fresco dinner, and Kyle gave a toast that transitioned into a group apology. “I wanted to apologize for last weekend. I was in a bit of a spiral, and I want to be respectful…” he began before pausing to wait for Ciara and Amanda to stop laughing and “talking over” his “heartfelt moment.”

After a brief back and forth, he continued, “What I was trying to say is, out of respect for my marriage and my wife, I apologize for kind of airing some dirty laundry and letting some of my emotions get the best of me. It’s important to me that everyone has a good time.”

After Kyle clocked Amanda’s disapproving facial expressions and paused again, she told him that the apology should have been given to her directly, rather than to the whole group. He replied by saying that he had already apologized to her, but an argument ensued anyway.

Summer House‘s Feb. 10 episode ended with Kyle storming off and slamming the door, causing a painting to fall in the process.

As the drama continues, find out everything Kyle and Amanda said about their marital issues on the Summer House Season 10 premiere, several months prior to them announcing their split.
