Kyle Richards attempted to teach newbie Natalie Swanston Fuller a tough lesson about navigating drama on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: The cameras are always watching.
While shopping in Italy during Season 15, Episode 14, Natalie confirmed that Bozoma Saint John made a joke about Amanda Frances after spotting a wall of Venetian masks for sale. However, when Kyle called upon her for backup amid Boz’s denial of ever making such a comment later on, Natalie admitted only to telling her that Boz said Amanda’s name amid the mask conversation.
“You confirmed it, and now it’s a very different story,” Kyle said while calling out Natalie in front of the group. “You said something completely different.”
Growing increasingly agitated, Kyle broke the fourth wall and reminded the new Season 15 friend that the truth would come out eventually.

“You do realize that we all see this?” Kyle fumed. “You’re lying. And you know what doesn’t lie? The cameras.”
As Rachel Zoe remarked that Kyle looked like she was going to “implode,” the RHOBH OG continued, “What’s frustrating, I just met you, Natalie, and I think you just f–king lied. And that’s weird to me.”
Regardless, Natalie maintained that she did not lie, and Kyle eventually conceded that the issue was for Boz and Amanda to sort out for themselves.
What Natalie Swanston Fuller really told Kyle Richards and Amanda Frances about Bozoma Saint John
Based on the footage shown on RHOBH‘s March 19 episode, the truth appeared to fall somewhere in the middle.
While exploring Florence, Kathy Hilton first spotted a street vendor selling the Venetian masks, which she referred to as “Pinocchios” due to the beak-like features on some of them. As the group posed for photos on a bridge over the Arno River moments later, Natalie suggested that they all buy a mask, before joking, “Who’s going to be Pinocchio?” That’s when Boz simply replied, “Amanda.”
During a shopping excursion with Kyle shortly afterward, Amanda asked Natalie, “Did you hear Boz see a mask hanging on a thing and say, like, ‘Amanda.’?” Natalie confirmed, “I did see that, yes.”

Kyle, meanwhile, added a few more words while debriefing Natalie, “There was a mask, and she said, ‘Look, there’s Amanda.’?” Without explicitly confirming or denying Boz made that exact comment, Natalie replied, “She was joking.”
Slamming Boz’s remark as being neither funny nor a joke, Kyle accused Natalie of trying to “spin” the perceived dig into something more lighthearted than she believed it to be.Â
“I’m not trying to spin anything,” Natalie insisted. “I’m just saying I heard it.”
Why Kyle Richards defended Amanda Frances amid the mask “joke”
Kyle appeared to be upset, as soon as Amanda filled her in on what she thought she’d overheard Boz saying on the bridge. By Amanda’s interpretation, Boz’s mask comment was actually an accusation about her being “fake.” Noting that she was “still processing” the situation, Kyle declared that she felt “a little bit shook” by what Natalie later characterized as Boz making a “joke.”
“What’s funny about that?” Kyle asked in a confessional. “If I’m sitting there hearing someone say something like this about me, I would really have my feelings hurt.”
On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Kyle further unpacked her impassioned reaction to all the drama, as well as her reason for coming to Amanda’s defense.
“That night, it felt like everybody was coming for her,” Kyle explained. “I feel like she’s very intimidated coming into this group. She’s not showing who she really is. … It just felt too much for me. It felt nasty.”
She continued, “I have Natalie not being honest and lying about what she said; Boz, who’s, you know, denying she said something that she said; and then everyone started, like, it kind of felt like, picking on her. And I was like, we’re in this beautiful place in Italy, and, like … I can’t sit here anymore.”
