As questions about Amanda Frances’ business resurfaced on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 15, there was one thing that Kyle Richards claimed to know for certain.
“She paid whatever she bought my house for in Bel Air,” Kyle explained on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show. “She made that money. … And she bought the other house too. Like, so, she is self-made.”
Kyle was, of course, referring to the fact that Amanda purchased her and Mauricio Umansky’s former family home for a reported $6.1 million in January 2022.

Kyle’s defense of Amanda arrived on the heels of some of their RHOBH castmates using artificial intelligence software during Episode 14 to look into the newbie’s reasons for leaving the cult that she’d previously referenced. Though the intel on that topic was scarce, the AI-generated response offered a more detailed summary of criticisms regarding Amanda’s business practices, which Bozoma Saint John read aloud.
Later on, a debate ignited during a poolside dinner in Italy regarding Amanda supposedly presenting a “fake” version of her life to the group.

Elsewhere in the RHOBH After Show clip, Amanda used the words “dumbfounded,” “shocked,” and “bewildered” to describe her reaction to some of the criticisms of her life and business that have circulated since she joined the group.
In particular, she wanted to address Boz’s “insane” claim at the end of the March 19 episode that she’d “built a cult” through her digital courses on manifestation, personal development, and financial empowerment for women.
“It’s a cult ’cause people love me? It’s a cult ’cause people who are in my work appreciate the work?” Amanda asked rhetorically. “For it to be a cult, I would have to, like, have some way to control them.”

“What was more frustrating than anything,” Amanda said, “is I didn’t know they were questioning it. I’m asked in Sedona; I thought I cleared it up. So, there’s a whole gap of time where apparently, they’re questioning and talking, but I don’t know about it.”
After rattling off buzzwords and phrases related to her career, Amanda insisted, “These are concepts that these women can grasp.”
She went on to add, “Some people are pretending not to understand; some people are not listening. But none of that is my fault. We have incredibly happy customers, an incredibly low refund rate. Like, even if these women don’t f–king get it, can they not respect that a lot of people clearly do?”
Why Kyle Richards defended Amanda Frances on RHOBH
Prior to her After Show comments, Kyle had already defended Amanda multiple times on the cast trip to Italy. During Episode 14, for example, she had particularly taken issue with Boz’s joke about Amanda being the group’s “Pinocchio” when they spotted a vendor selling long-nosed masks on the streets of Florence.
While “still processing” Amanda’s interpretation of the comment, Kyle admitted that she felt “a little bit shook” and was “surprised Boz would even joke like that.”
“What’s funny about that?” Kyle asked in a confessional. “If I’m sitting there hearing someone say something like this about me, I would really have my feelings hurt. … It feels very juvenile and really mean.”
A bit later, she added, “I can understand why Amanda does not feel comfortable to open up more with the group. Not everyone has been welcoming to her.”
Following the drama-filled poolside dinner at Villa Bibbiani, Amanda thanked Kyle for having her back. “I appreciate you,” Amanda said. “You made some points that I couldn’t get to, and they were good points.”
Kyle, for her part, responded, “It’s a lot. I am really sorry you experienced that, I really am.”
