Once Kyle Richards had heard Mauricio Umansky and Dorit Kemsley’s respective versions of how their meeting about Paul “PK” Kemsley went on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she wasted no time in forming an opinion on the matter.
Though Kyle had decided to keep her “mouth shut” with Dorit in the Hamptons during Season 15, Episode 9, she had much more to say on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show.
“She went into it, I think, thinking, well, this is PK’s friend, he’s not going to be open-minded,” Kyle explained. “I know Mau’s character; I know that he actually would’ve been. He could’ve gone back to PK and said, ‘Listen, she does have a point here.’ And he will, you know, talk straight with, you know, anyone he cares about. So, it’s unfortunate that it ended that way.”

Indeed, Dorit and Mauricio made little progress during their sit-down, during which Kyle’s estranged husband claimed that PK had shown him text messages and other documents that supported his claims amid their contentious divorce.
Kyle insisted on the RHOBH After Show, that Mau didn’t ever get too in depth with her about his conversations with PK, however.
“Mau was never specific about the text messages, ever. He never read them to me or anything,” she claimed. “But I would say, ‘Well, Dorit said PK’s not making an effort.’ And he would say, ‘Well, I’ve seen these messages and I’ve heard them on the phone, and he’s saying the complete opposite. I’ve heard him actually trying to get to see the kids.’ So, that’s why I thought, let Mau hear it out of Dorit’s mouth and PK’s mouth, and maybe he can piece this puzzle together and help somehow.”

Separately on the RHOBH After Show, Dorit, for her part, insisted that she “wanted to give Mau the benefit of the doubt,” heading into their meetup.
“But Mau came in as PK’s soldier,” she added. “It was like PK gave him a script, and he was just coming out with things. It didn’t even make sense.”

One thing that seemed to particularly puzzle Dorit was that Mauricio claimed to have seen spreadsheets that he promised PK had sent her regarding a proposed financial arrangement. However, Dorit maintained that she’d never received any such proposal, and she even pulled out her phone and scrolled back to prove her point.
By the end of her sit-down with Mau, Dorit said that felt like she needed “to get the f–k out” of there, later adding, “This whole Kool-Aid drinking, like, this is such a waste of my time.”Â
She concluded, “It just felt like this is the influence in PK’s life. This is what I’m dealing with. I’m not dealing with people that truly are looking out for his best interest that can say, ‘Hey, PK, slow down here.’ I left that lunch feeling like, what a joke.”

Mauricio was the first to debrief Kyle on what happened with him and Dorit during RHOBH‘s Feb. 12 episode.
“She has her perspective, she has her point of view, and, you know, there was no way I was gonna change it,” Mau told his estranged wife in a phone call. “All I was trying to do was let her see his point of view. I mean, to be honest with you, I don’t know if I can help them.”
The next day, Dorit gave Kyle her version of events during a group dinner with Rachel Zoe and others in the Hamptons, echoing the comments she made on the After Show.
“To me, it felt very much like he had a script,” Dorit alleged, accusing “loyal soldier” Mauricio of coming into their talk with “a job to do” on PK’s behalf.
Kyle’s take? “I’m just going to keep my mouth shut, because what am I supposed to say? That’s not what I heard?” she explained to a producer. “Dorit only wants “yes” people around her right now. I am not that person, so I’m going to avoid these conversations as much as possible.”
