Kyle Richards’ rare love life revelations continued to shock her castmates on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
During Season 15, Episode 3’s group debrief at Bozoma Saint John’s speed dating event, the ladies took the opportunity to grill Kyle about her romantic intentions after she and Mauricio Umansky announced their separation in October 2023 after 27 years of marriage.
First, Dorit Kemsley asked Kyle if she was “actively looking to meet someone,” to which she replied, “Of course not.”

When Dorit and the other ladies expressed surprise at her answer, Kyle took her statement a step further, explaining why she’s not interested in casual encounters.
“I would be looking for a life partner,” she added. “Like, I want to get married again. …Â I think I would want to get married again.”
Much like her previous statement, Kyle’s admission about potentially remarrying also stunned her fellow diamond holders.
Kyle Richards explains why “gender doesn’t matter” in dating
After Kyle established that she’s not a “one-night-only girl,” as Rachel Zoe put it, Boz announced her mission to find her “somebody with substance.” But first, she had questions about Kyle’s dating preferences.
Kyle explained that she’d “been in love” three times in her life, before quickly realizing that Boz was tiptoeing around asking about her sexuality.
“Boz is acting like she’s never heard anything or seen anything, and she’s asking me all these questions,” Kyle told a producer. “And I’m like, ‘OK, Boz.'”

So, Kyle broached the subject herself, saying, “Why don’t you ask what you really want to ask? …Â Â I could go Brad; I could go Angelina. And that’s what you want me to say, right?”
Boz, meanwhile, asked if she was “serious,” prompting Kyle to respond, “I mean, I’m, like, half joking, but not fully joking. I don’t know. Listen, I’ve learned a lot about myself. I think gender doesn’t matter. I think it’s … a soul connection.”
That being said, Kyle insisted that she’s “always been attracted to men,” particularly of the “tall, dark, and handsome” variety. However, when Boz asked if that could also “apply to women,” the mom of four answered, “I don’t really know.”
Kyle sheds new light on her post-separation love life
During the candid group discussion, Kyle admitted that she “loved somebody” after Mauricio.
“Now I’m on my own again,” she said, but declined to confirm or deny who ended the relationship. “It’s just complicated.”
Kyle, meanwhile, divulged more intel in a confessional.
“I think my biggest worry after Mau and I separated was, really, that I was going to maybe be alone one day,” she explained. “And then to find someone that you have a lot in common with and you can laugh with and have fun, it was exciting for me, because I proved to myself, oh, I actually can meet someone after a marriage of this many years.”
The RHOBH cast member also said that she “felt nervous” about what her estranged husband, their daughters, and even the public would think if she went out with somebody. She credited her recent romance with helping her make progress in that area, though.
“I’ve gone through so much in these past few years, and it really has changed my perspective on life and how I want to live,” Kyle continued. “While I am sad about the relationship, I’m also really grateful. You get lost in being a wife and a mother, and you can kind of forget about who you are. And I learned a lot about myself in that time.”
Something Kyle was certain of in her quest to find a new mate, however, was that she had no desire to try speed dating ever again. As she told Boz, “I’m a fate kind of person.”
As she navigates her newfound single life, get more details on why Kyle’s first relationship after Mauricio ended.
