Although Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky announced their separation in October 2023, they have yet to file for divorce. However, Kyle admitted during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 15, Episode 7, that she has considered it. Kyle shared the details with Dorit Kemsley and Bozoma Saint John after Dorit asked her about seeing photos of her estranged husband kissing other women.
“When you first saw pictures of Mau, did it ever cross your mind, ‘I want to file’?” Dorit asked during the Jan. 29 RHOBH episode, to which Kyle answered, “Yes.”
“It’s a very big decision, and it’s scary. It’s not just me I’m thinking of. I’m thinking about everybody,” Kyle elaborated, referring to the daughters she shares with Mauricio. “When I was in Aspen recently, I felt a little bit invisible. And then I’m like, ‘Okay. It’s time,’” she shared of her vacation with Mauricio and their daughters. “But then I come back, and I’m like, ‘It’s just easier like this.’ You know, we’re good friends, and I know that he loves me. We get along.”
Kyle shared more details about the emotional trip in a confessional. “We travel together as a family sometimes, and, you know, he has his room, and I have my room. But, when I would see him in the morning, having coffee, or whatever the activity was for the day, I just didn’t feel very seen,” she explained. “Even though we’re separated, even as a friend, I want more from you. You know? I don’t want to be talking to a wall or be talking to someone and having them look at their phone.”

Has Mauricio Umansky considered filing for divorce from Kyle Richards?
While Kyle was dining with Boz and Dorit during the Jan. 29 episode, they had a surprise run-in with none other than Mauricio himself. After he greeted the ladies, Dorit immediately grilled him on the topic of divorce.
“Have you ever thought about filing?” she asked him point blank, and he answered, “No.” Kyle said she’d “never asked him that” before. When Mauricio turned the table on Kyle with the same question, she admitted with a laugh she’d considered it, “a couple times.”
