One of Kyle Richards’ mini dates on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills hit just a little too close to home.
As seen on Season 15, Episode 3, Bozoma Saint John dug into her contacts list and hosted a speed dating event for Kyle and their other single castmates in her backyard. When one potential suitor named Chase revealed to Kyle that he was a real estate agent, she couldn’t help but point out that estranged husband Mauricio Umansky has a career in the same field.
“My husband would die right now,” Kyle told her date, before clarifying, “Well, I’m separated.”

As it turned out, Chase actually previously “did a deal” with Mauricio, as he revealed to Kyle, who playfully responded, “I’m sure you did.”
Afterward, the RHOBH ‘Wife joked in a confessional, “I honestly cannot get away from Mau. I mean, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was here tonight as one of the bachelors.”

After Boz eventually excused Chase and the other men for the night, Kyle made several rare comments about her post-split dating life, including that she wants to get married again someday and that her potential partner’s “gender doesn’t matter.”
That being said, Kyle admitted to her castmates that she was not “actively looking to meet someone,” after her first relationship after Mauricio ended.
During the candid group discussion, Kyle shared, “I have loved somebody [after Mauricio], but… now, I’m on my own again.” She declined to divulge who ended that relationship, however, telling the women only that the breakup was “complicated.”

Kyle Richards reveals dating “worry” amid her split from Mauricio
“I think my biggest worry after Mau and I separated was, really, that I was going to maybe be alone one day,” Kyle explained in a confessional. “And then to find someone that you have a lot in common with and you can laugh with and have fun, it was exciting for me, because I proved to myself, oh, I actually can meet someone after a marriage of this many years.”
The mom of four further copped to feeling “nervous” about what Mauricio, their daughters, and the public might think if she stepped out with somebody new. Either way, Kyle noted that, two years into her marital separation, she was making progress, especially after her more recent breakup.
“I’ve gone through so much in these past few years, and it really has changed my perspective on life and how I want to live,” Kyle added in her producer interview. “While I am sad about the relationship, I’m also really grateful. You get lost in being a wife and a mother, and you can kind of forget about who you are. And I learned a lot about myself in that time.”

Even though Kyle’s split from Mauricio has been amicable, she’s made no secret that they don’t share details of their dating lives with each other. That could account for her seemingly uncomfortable reaction when Mau previously brought up that exact topic during her first visit to his new home in Season 15’s second episode.
Following some playful banter about unavoidable PDA paparazzi photos of Mau, Kyle’s estranged husband reminded her that she’s “allowed to go on dates,” too, since they announced their separation in October 2023.
“Yeah, but I haven’t gone on any dates,” Kyle replied. “You know that I would not be in a situation like you, sorry to say.”
In a confessional, she continued, “Yes, I have dated since Mau and I have been separated. But I can also be private and discreet, unlike Mau. We don’t need to see that of each other; our kids don’t need to see it. I don’t feel the need to parade around showing it off to everyone.”
