NATCHITOCHES, La. (TCD) — A 28-year-old woman and 29-year-old man were arrested on several charges after two children were allegedly found tied to their beds last week.
According to a statement, on Friday, March 3, at 1:13 p.m., a “concerned citizen” contacted Natchitoches Police regarding a possible child endangerment case on the 900 block of Dixie Street. The caller told police they went to the home and found two juveniles “tied to their beds,” then freed them.
Natchitoches Police Department officers went to the residence, arrested Michelle Benjamin and James Grant, and took them into custody on two counts of cruelty to a juvenile, two counts of domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, and two counts of false imprisonment.
The children were reportedly placed in the care of the Department of Children and Family Services.
Benjamin and Grant were booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.
