After finding herself on Scheana Shay’s bad side, former Vanderpump Rules SURver Lala Kent is breaking down the very public feud between them.
On a bonus episode of her new Untraditionally Lala podcast, the mother of two was asked during a Q&A about her and Scheana’s ongoing drama, to which Lala confessed, “Scheana and I are in a very strange place.”
And even though the Bravolebs are still “like family” and Lala’s daughters recently played with Scheana and Brock Davies’ daughter, Summer Moon Honey Davies, Lala said she’s “very disappointed” by how Scheana had “gone about certain things.” According to the Give Them Lala beauty founder, “She said it put friendships into perspective, based on who posted her book.”
Lala also claimed that Scheana failed to mention the times they sat and cried about the contents of My Good Side — which included the bombshell revelation that Brock cheated on Scheana while Scheana was pregnant — and Lala messaging her about how “f–king proud” she was that the memoir became a New York Times bestseller. “But, because none of that was public, it’s not good enough for her,” Lala maintained.

She then listed off Scheana’s personal and professional achievements, from Scheana’s “incredible and wonderful” decision to stick with Brock and her loving family, to her chart-topping book and the “fantastic” Scheananigans with Scheana Shay podcast. Wondered Lala, “What are you so mad about all the time?” and “Why do you continue to try to scrape the bottom of the barrel to find the s–t?”
Lala Kent explains what she wants for her and Scheana Shay’s friendship
Lala cited her own personal growth, resisting the urge to place the blame and point fingers. “We’ve come a long way,” she said, wanting Scheana to look inside herself.
Said Lala, “I want her to take a moment to self-reflect and figure out what makes her tick and what keeps her happy, genuinely happy.”

One day, Lala warned, the TV shows, the podcasts, and the brand deals may all fade away. “What do you do when it’s all over? How do you want your life to be? I want to shake her. I have f–ked up in the past. So have you. The difference is I don’t point out every f–k-up that you have because it’s not worth it because I know you’re a good person. You should know I’m a good person.”
Even though Lala hoped the “Good as Gold” singer would reflect on why she expected such high standards from everyone, Lala took a moment to offer an olive branch. Said Lala, “Scheana, I love you. I’m sorry if I’ve f–ked up.”
How did Lala Kent and Scheana Shay’s feud begin?
The drama began in late August when Scheana explained on her podcast that Lala did “nothing else” outside an Instagram Story to promote her book, despite sending her a PR box and free copy.
Lala responded on a Sept. 8 Amazon Live stream, claiming she would “let Scheana Scheana.”
At Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea Awards on Sept. 17, Scheana told reporters, “I didn’t really like that,” pointing out Lala’s “subtle digs.” Added the author, “She’s not taking accountability for why Scheana is Scheana-ing at the moment.”
More recently, on her podcast, Lala doubled down by insisting she did indeed post about My Good Side. “I posted the book. The book was posted,” she said. “She’s upset because that I didn’t post it in the proper timeline. I am not a robot. You don’t click in what you need from me. I’m a person with a life. I posted the book when you announced it for a pre-order, and I did post the book when I got it.”
Still, Lala argued, “Nothing I do or anyone else does will ever be good enough” for Scheana.
