While questions loom over the future of Lala Kent and Scheana Shay’s friendship, their young daughters have apparently remained BFFs.
Lala touched on the topic during her October 21 Amazon Live stream, when a viewer asked where she currently stood with Scheana and whether their rift had affected their respective daughters, Ocean Kent Emmett and Summer Moon Honey Davies.
The Vanderpump Rules alum declined to mention Scheana by name, but insisted their girls were still on really good terms despite the ongoing drama.
Lala Kent gives an update on her and Scheana Shay’s daughters
“Summer and Ocean are still friends. Ocean writes little notes. There’s one,” Lala said while looking off camera. “This is what’s on my whiteboard right now. Can you guys see it? It says, ‘I love you, Summer,’ and then it says ‘Ocean.’”
Lala gave birth to Ocean in March 2021, about a month before Scheana and her husband, Brock Davies, welcomed Summer. Being so close in age led the Vanderpump Rules daughters to develop a really tight bond, as they reached multiple milestones around the same time. They started pre-school together in 2024 and, according to Lala, are still enrolled in the same school.

“They’re cute little friends,” she continued. “They have a heyday at school, which I love, because they’ve known each other literally since birth. That’s a friendship that needs to stay incubated and protected to the best of our ability.”
Lala Kent and Scheana Shay’s Book Drama
The feud between Lala and Scheana came to light in late August, weeks after the latter released her first-ever memoir, My Good Side. Although the book went on to land on multiple best-sellers lists, Scheana said she was disappointed by the lack of support the memoir received from her friends. She expanded on her feelings during the August 29 episode of her Scheananigans podcast, when a fan asked why Lala didn’t immediately promote My Good Side on social media.
“I think it was like maybe a week after it came out, I saw [Lala] posted a slide [with the book],” Scheana recalled. “There was nothing else that she posted. I had reached out to her a couple of days after all of the boxes were delivered. Because, yes, you do expect your closest friends to post and support.”
Scheana Shay accuses Lala Kent of “not taking responsibility”
Since then, the former besties have exchanged slight jabs in podcasts, live streams, and interviews, indicating their issues went far beyond the book promotions.
“I’ll just say Scheana Scheanas and I’m letting Scheana Scheana,” Lala said in her September 9 Amazon Live stream. “I don’t know. I’m just here minding my own… I don’t know where her head is at. Scheana is my friend. I love her. I love her family. She is like family to me. I am proud of her; I will say that over and over again because that’s what I mean, and that’s where my heart is.”

Scheana later accused Lala of taking “subtle digs” at her, and insisted her former castmate was “not taking accountability” for her actions.
“You know, friendships ebb and flow,” Scheana said during her sitdown with Virtual Reali-Tea. “And what’s so weird… the fact that we will talk about each other on our podcasts, and that’s how we converse. We don’t text, we don’t call each other, there’s just, ‘Oh, you said this on your podcast? I’ll respond to it on my podcast.’ And I’m like, ‘Why can’t we just have a conversation?’”
The details surrounding their fallout have not been revealed, but Lala has since vowed to stop addressing the drama in public.
“I think I’ve said everything I need to say on that situation,” Lala said in a recent interview with Page Six. “I’m not even going to discuss her at all.”
