Lala Kent has been living in her home in the Valley since March 2024. Although the Vanderpump Rules alum has since made the house her own with her personal design touches, she just made a small but major change for her smallest and cutest family members. Lala recently took to her Instagram Story, where she revealed that she had carpet installed on the staircase leading to the upper level of her house. This, she explained, is for the sake of her two young daughters, Ocean Kent Emmett and Sosa Kent, as well as their pets.
She took to her Instagram Story where she explained what brought about the change, while snapping a photo of the installers putting the carpet on the stairs. “The other day I heard thudding coming down the stairs. It was one of the pitbulls sliding (aka falling) down the stairs,” she wrote over the photo. “It broke my heart and made me so terrified thinking if my kids fell down them. They were treacherous as just wood. So today, we installed carpet.”
“Thanks to these guys, I’m feeling much better,” she noted.
The Valley friend then took to her Instagram Story to show off the completed project, and one of her dogs, who looked so pleased with the results. The carpet, complete with the zigzag design on the stairs, is chic and fits in with the modern decor of Lala’s house.

Lala Kent shares her favorite thing about her home in the Valley
In a March interview with Forbes, Lala revealed that as soon as she walked into her home, she knew she could see herself raising her family there. “The moment I walked in, after seeing so many homes, something about this one just stole my heart,” she admitted.
“I couldn’t pinpoint exactly what it was, but I immediately pictured my kids playing here, hosting people by the pool,” she continued. “In other homes, as beautiful as they were, I couldn’t see those moments. Even before Sosa arrived, I could already imagine what she would look like in this home.”
“This home has become the heart of our family,” she added. “It was meant to be.”

Lala Kent opens up about her desire to expand her family
This change to her house might come in handy, as Lala recently told Parents Magazine, earlier this month, that she would like to have a third child. Lala is currently a single mom of two and she told the publication that she is ready to grow her family by one more.
“It’s so fulfilling and it’s difficult, but we’re a well-oiled machine,” she said. “And I don’t think I’m done. I think I need one more. I am loving it so much that I’m not ready for the stages to be over as they pass.”
