Las Vegas Neighbor ‘ran finger over her throat’ at Pastor Weeks Before Gunning Him Down in Driveway [Update] – Crime Online

A Las Vegas woman accused of murdering her pastor neighbor allegedly made threatening gestures toward him before the December 29 shooting in the gated Court of Aliante townhome community

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Grace Point Church pastor, Nick Davi, 46, lost his life in front of his family amid an ongoing dispute with his neighbor over chickens and dogs on her property, off Lookout Lodge Lane in North Vegas.

Joe Junio, 36, was arrested and has been charged with his murder, along with attempted murder, and child abuse.

Police said the dispute had been escalating for weeks, with Junio allegedly harassing the family by throwing feces into their backyard, flooding their home, and making threats. The Davi family reported the incidents to the homeowner’s association regarding Juno’s alleged “violations in relation to chickens and dogs.”

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, court documents revealed that during one confrontation, Junio allegedly “ran her finger across her throat in a cutting motion and told them they were next.”

Davi’s wife, Sarah, who was wounded but survived the shooting, subsequently filed a wrongful death lawsuit seeking $15,000 in damages, which is the standard minimum in such lawsuits filed in Nevada.

The court documents include a harrowing image of the shooting, captured by one of her children.

The lawsuit claims that Junio didn’t have a license or a permit for the gun she used in the shooting, KVVU reported. She purportedly borrowed the gun from someone. The lawsuit didn’t name the gun owner, but once they have been identified, they will be sued as well.

The lawsuit does not name the homeowners’ association as a defendant, although it does say that the organization “knew or should have known that Defendant would likely perform violent actions against deceased and Plaintiff as a result of on-going association dispute.”

Junio remains in custody on a $300,000 bail. Check back for updates.
