Vanderpump Rules matriarch Lisa Vanderpump has a soft spot for those who come and go through West Hollywood’s SUR, but one former cast member takes the cake.
The pink-loving restaurateur agreed to talk all things Season 12 on Tom Schwartz’s Detox Retox podcast, reuniting with the longtime Bravoleb at Vanderpump Dogs pet adoption business in Los Angeles. There, the Tom Tom bar owner and upcoming cast member of The Valley wondered how much Lisa missed him, on a scale from one to 10.
“I miss you a lot because you were always my favorite,” Lisa said in the Dec. 16 episode. “Well, you know that … We had a good time, and I’ve always loved your attitude. Well, actually not always, that’s lying. I’ve been there some, you know, like through a lot with you, really. I mean, even your wedding. That was a lot.”
Vanderpump Rules fans should recall Lisa officiating Tom and his ex-wife Katie Maloney’s outdoor and rustic wedding in season 5. Nine years later, and with the current Season 12 featuring an all-new cast, Tom admitted to Lisa that he missed her. “You don’t have to,” she told him. “I’m right here.”
Lisa naming Tom Schwartz as her favorite alum, however, begged the question of who she missed the least from the former seasons. “Oh gosh, I’ve got a list,” she joked.
But, in all seriousness, “You know what? I always get accused of, ‘Oh, you didn’t reach out to me.’ I’m like, ‘Please, reach out to me if you ever feel that way, and I’m always available to talk to you,’” Lisa continued. “But I still love each and every one of them. Some of them get it wrong a lot of the time, but yeah.”

Season 12 of Vanderpump Rules consisted of a complete cast overhaul, and with that came big changes at SUR — and SUR’s infamous photoshoot.
As Lisa noted on Season 12, Episode 3, “The SUR photoshoot was something we did yearly, and it was iconic. Life has changed. Businesses have changed. It’s necessary to keep evolving. If it’s a photo shoot, different staff, I think that’s been the secret to our longevity.”

Which new Vanderpump Rules cast members know Tom Schwartz?
While the faces of Season 12 might be new to viewers, there was a fair amount of overlap between them and the OGs. Marcus, for example, had “a few years” at the restaurant under his belt before the current season began filming, and had even run into Tom Schwartz a few times. “He’s been super cool and gave me some advice and, you know, we’ve taken a few shots together,” Marcus revealed. “He’s kind of given me a little bit of, you know, tools to use to go forward with.”
Kim also noted the cast’s connection to Tom: “I mean, I’ve kind of here and there talked to Tom Schwartz with the cast, like while we’re at Tom Tom, because we go there often,” she said. “He’s just been so kind and generous, but he probably wouldn’t know me.”
Venus has also met Tom “in passing.”
