Illinois State Police said that Logan Hutchings and Sophia Kelly, both 21, have been charged with first-degree murder with the June 14, 2022, death of their son, who was brought to a hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, two days earlier, according to WPSD.

ISP said they were called in to investigate by the Pinckneyville Police Department and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services on June 12, when the infant was admitted to the hospital and medical personnel discovered he had a skull fracture and several broken ribs.
Prior to being hospitalized, the baby was in the care of Hutchings and Kelly, his parents, at their home in Pinckneyville, Illinois.

Before the baby was hospitalized, he was in the care of his parents, Hutchings and Kelly.
Prosecutors charged the parents, who investigators say are both 21 years old, on Tuesday with three counts each of first-degree murder. ISP agents arrested the couple and took them to the Washington County Jail, and their bond was set at $1 million, with 10% to apply.
The two face three counts each of first-degree murder and is being held at the Washington County Jail on a $1 million bond each.
