A Long Island man has been charged with the death of his 63-year-old mother, who was found dead in the woods in Manorville earlier this month.
Kathleen Harrison Trent was reported missing by another son on January 29 and found dead two weeks later, six miles from her home, News 12 reports.
Curtis Trent Jr., 36, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with murder.
Investigators have not revealed the cause of death or said how they identified Curtis Trent as a suspect.
A GoFundMe set up to help defray memorial costs described Harrison Trent as “a loving, caring mother and an amazing friend” whose grandchildren “meant the world to her.”
