Police are actively searching for the driver of a black Audi Q3 involved in the fatal hit-and-run accident Saturday that killed a California woman.

KTLA reported that the incident happened at around 5 p.m, at Pico Boulevard and Fox Hills Drive, in West Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) investigators with the West Traffic Division reported that the 74-year-old victim had been struck while crossing southbound within a marked crosswalk.

The vehicle is believed to be a 2011- to 2018 model Audi Q3 traveling in the westbound lanes of Pico.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel declared the victim, a local resident whose identity has not yet been released by authorities, dead upon their arrival.

“The driver of the Audi failed to stop, identify themselves, and render aid to the pedestrian as required by law,” the LAPD said in a press release.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact West Traffic Detectives at (213) 473-0234. During non-business hours or weekends, callers can reach 1-877-LAPD-24-7.

Anonymous tips may also be submitted through L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), going online, or using the “P3 Tips” mobile app.

“A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise,” LAPD stated.
