Chic c’est la vie, indeed! Luann de Lesseps proved that when it comes to a halftime show, cabaret is always a good idea. The Real Housewives of New York City alum took the stage during Peacock’s Reality Hot Seat on Sunday, Dec. 7, giving fans the show of a lifetime midway through the big game as she was the night’s headlining halftime performer.
During the Houston Texans-Kansas City Chiefs football game, during Peacock’s Reality Hot Seat airing on Sunday, Luann took the stage to dazzle the crowd with her holiday-themed classic, “What Do I Want for Christmas?” During the performance, Luann wore a sparkling silver mini dress and paired the gorgeous look with lots of shiny jewelry.Â
“What do I want for Christmas? I want love… Love for everybody,” she shared after the performance, about what she’s asking from Santa for Christmas this year.Â
By the way, in true Luann fashion, she then revealed that she has found love in the past with a professional athlete. “I did date an athlete before. I mean, athletes are amazing. I mean, look at all the hard work they’re doing on the field,” she said.

Of course, before she even took the stage, she was already hyping everyone up for the big event. “Touchdown, darling. Catch me in the Reality Hot Seat this Sunday for the halftime show on [Peacock]. Let’s have a little fun,” she said on Instagram.
Having Luann as the big halftime performer during Peacock’s Reality Hot Seat certainly makes sense. In fact, one of the night’s co-hosts, Kate Chastain, certainly made an argument for how similar football and the Real Housewives are (you won’t see us arguing).Â
“It’s drama, ’cause we’re all looking for something to root for, right? That’s why people love sports. It’s drama, it’s excitement. You know, don’t know how it’s gonna go ’cause it’s real life. And I think that’s the same reason we all like reality TV. I know there are certain [Real] Housewives I’m rooting for during certain seasons,” she shared with The Daily Dish exclusively during BravoCon 2025. “And so it’s really not that different.”
Luann was just one of the Real Housewives on hand for the big Peacock event, which also included the night’s co-host, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Heather Gay, and guests Bronwyn Newport as well as Melissa Gorga from The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
