“Hudson, you’ve made me a mama my proudest title,” the Southern Charm-er wrote on Instagram. “You’ve been my sidekick through it all, from early mornings to game days, and now the sweetest big brother there ever was. You’re funny, protective, and have the biggest heart. Love you so much.”

The Reel was a collection of Madison’s favorite memories of her son, whom she shares with her ex-husband. The montage included a photo of Hudson riding a tricycle during his toddler years, a photo of him wearing his football uniform, pictures from various family vacations, and sweet moments between him and his 4-month-old sister, Teddi.

Madison LeCroy says Hudson had mixed feelings about having a sibling

Madison and her husband, Brett Randle, welcomed their daughter in late June, less than three years after tying the knot. The South Carolina mom shed more light on the family’s addition on the Southern Charm After Show, revealing Hudson wasn’t initially on board with having a little brother or sister.

“At first, he didn’t [want a younger sibling],” Madison said before referring to their family pet, Karen. “And then I got a dog, and then he was like, ‘Actually, this is kinda cool.’ And then he’s like, ‘OK, I can do this.’ And then he goes, ‘By the time this kid would turn 10, I’ll be in college.’ I was like, ‘Exactly! Basically, I’m gonna end up having like, only children, separately.”

Madison LeCroy praises Hudson for stepping up as a big brother

In the months leading up to Teddi’s birth, Hudson helped his mom and stepdad with some of the baby preparations. Madison spoke about Hudson’s assistance in a February interview with Parents magazine, suggesting her kids’ relatively large age gap had more pros than cons.

“He’s already stepped into the big brother role, talking about what he’s going to teach the baby and how he’s going to help. It really does melt my heart,” she said. “The other day I got a stroller, one of many, and he helped me put it together.”

2025 has proven to be a big year for Hudson. In addition to becoming a teenager and big brother, the Southern Charm son has taken up the guitar, gotten his braces removed, and made his school’s A-B honor roll.
