Maine Shootings Suspect Robert Card Found Dead – Crime Online

Maine shootings suspect Robert Card has been found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, ABC News reports.

A news conference has been scheduled for 10 p.m.

This is a live video from News Center Maine:

Sources told CNN that Card’s body was found in the woods in Lisbon, not far from a recycling center from which he had recently been fired. Lisbon is about eight miles from Lewiston.

Maine Sen. Angus King told News Center Maine that Card was still wearing the same clothes he was wearing in surveillance footage from the night of the shooting.

Card’s vehicle was found at a boat launch on the Androscoggin River in Lisbon hours after the shootings, which killed 18 people and wounded 13. Sources say Card’s body was found about a mile down the river from the boat launch.

This is a breaking news story. It will be updated as new information is reported.
