Malia White is sharing new details about her life as a new mom after quietly welcoming her baby girl into the world with her partner, Robert. The Below Deck Mediterranean alum confirmed in early February that she had given birth and has been giving more glimpses as she has embraced her new role in the weeks since.
Malia spoke with The Daily Dish on Feb. 12 in an exclusive interview, where she confirmed that she gave birth to her daughter earlier in the month. While she did not share her name, she did reveal that everything has been going great with the tot. “We had a baby girl. And she’s healthy and she’s home,” she stated. “It’s been just over a week now.”
And Malia has been relishing all of that time spent with her daughter. “When they say this first, that bubble time when you’re just at home, and you’re kind of nesting and stuff, I thought it was going to drive me crazy, not leaving the house and whatnot, but I’ve actually loved it. It’s so nice,” she explained with a laugh. “But I think that surprised me. Because I thought I was going to be a bit more antsy to get out. Get going.”
Malia White shares photos of life with her baby
Malia has taken to her Instagram Story since confirming the baby’s birth, where she has given a look inside their life at home in “nesting” mode. She snapped a photo of her holding her daughter, eating breakfast in bed, enjoying her partner’s home-cooked dinner, and took the sweetest photo of her daughter holding her finger.
Malia White reveals how her career in yachting prepared her for being a new mom
Although Malia is a first-time mom, she told The Daily Dish that her career in yachting as an officer actually prepared her for having a newborn baby who gets little sleep and has to wake up every few hours to feed. “I feel like my job as an officer has trained me for this, you know?” she remarked.
“Because we have to get up for bridge watches. So I’m used to running on little sleep,” she explained. “Me and my partner both, we are used to having to get up for short 3-hour, 4-hour bridge watches, and going back to sleep, and getting back up for another watch. But it’s not too bad.”

Malia White opens up about keeping her pregnancy a secret
When Malia announced the birth of her daughter on Instagram on Feb. 6, she took to the comments of the post where she referred to it as her “nine-month secret.” Malia admitted to The Daily Dish that she didn’t know that she had wanted to keep it “a secret for so long.” But, she decided to keep it between herself, her partner, and her family members and loved ones without opening up about it to the rest of the world.
“It was really special,” she continued. “I just felt like one thing I’ve learned during pregnancy, whether you like it or not, you get a lot of advice. And I think that was another reason I kind of just wanted to keep it a secret. Because it’s already overwhelming. You know, you’re going through so much. And then everyone has the best intentions. But they want to tell you their advice or their scary stories or their good stories. And I’m like, I kind of just want to keep it all peace and quiet for now.”
In fact, Malia intends to keep her baby private for the foreseeable future. “Right now, I’m not sharing photos and stuff of her on [social media]… because we’re still in our bubble. I don’t know if that’ll change one day,” she said. “But for now, just little glimpses of toes and fingers. Which are adorable as well.”

Malia also shared a bit more about how Robert has been adjusting to their new life together as she recovers from giving birth. “It definitely matters who you end up with in these moments. Because Robbie’s been a godsend, just helping with everything. And, especially after a C-section, you can’t do anything yourself,” she said. “So it really, really matters, ladies.”
