ACCOKEEK, Md. (TCN) — A 24-year-old man stands accused of killing his mother’s boyfriend last week.
According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, on Aug. 8, at around 12 a.m., officers responded to a home on Caribbean Way to a report of a shooting. Authorities located Gene Garrett Jr. inside with an apparent gunshot wound, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police allege Clarence Green Jr. shot Garrett as a result of an ongoing dispute. Garrett was reportedly the boyfriend of Green’s mother, and they all resided together.
Green was arrested and faces murder, assault, and other related charges. He was booked into the Department of Corrections without bond.
