A West Virginia man has been arrested after he allegedly attacked his stepfather with a claw hammer early Friday morning.
South Charleston Police said Frankie McNeal, 29, went into his mother and stepfather’s bedroom with the hammer and accused them of trying to kill him, according to WCHS.
McNeal, who was staying at the home for the Thanksgiving holiday, struck his stepfather, identified as Stewart Fields, in the left side of the face, causing serious injury.
McNeal has been charged with assault and battery and is being held at the South Central Regional Jail on a $10,000 bond.
