COLLEGEDALE, Tenn. (TCN) — Authorities recently arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of trying to meet up with a minor for sexual acts.
According to the Collegedale Police Department, on the night of May 20, officers responded to a Chick-fil-A on Old Lee Highway to a report of a man “attempting to meet a juvenile for a potential sexual encounter.”
When officers arrived, an employee identified the suspect’s vehicle, which was leaving the scene at the time. Police performed a traffic stop on the car and said the driver, Bradley Wolchuk, “appeared visibly nervous.”
During the interaction, officers said Wolchuk tried deleting content from his cellphone. Wolchuk reportedly told investigators he “engaged in sexually explicit communication” with a 17-year-old male he had met earlier in the day. The suspect allegedly offered the minor a “tattoo in exchange for sexual favors.” The victim and a manager at Chick-fil-A immediately contacted law enforcement when Wolchuk came back to the restaurant.
Wolchuk faces charges of solicitation of a minor, trafficking for a commercial sex act, and unlawful removal of registration. He was booked into the Hamilton County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on June 25.
