Inset: Lamireon Robinson (Navarro County Justice Center). Background: East 13th Avenue in Corsicana, Texas, where Robinson allegedly slammed on the brakes of his car, causing his girlfriend to fly off and hit the pavement (Google Maps).
A Texas man is facing a murder charge after he allegedly sped off with his girlfriend on the hood of his car before he “hard braked,” launching her from the vehicle and causing her head to slam on the pavement.
Then the suspect, 41-year-old Lamireon Robinson, waited 10 hours to take the victim, 35-year-old Sharette Hervey, to the hospital where she died eight days later, cops in the Longhorn State allege.
According to a press release from the Corsicana Police Department, staff at a local hospital on Oct. 4 alerted officers after Hervey came in with “extensive head injuries.” Robinson drove Hervey to the hospital, claiming she had “fallen” and later began “vomiting and exhibiting signs of confusion,” cops wrote. Hervey sustained multiple injuries, including a fractured skull and a traumatic brain bleed.

Detectives began investigating and learned from juvenile witnesses that Robinson allegedly deleted home surveillance footage on the day of the incident. Family members also told cops that the hood to his car had been damaged but was fixed shortly thereafter.
Investigators obtained video from the nearby Carroll Elementary School which captured a “domestic dispute” between Robinson and Hervey. It showed Robinson enter his car and “attempt to leave.” But cops say Hervey hopped onto the hood to “prevent” him from leaving. Robinson drove forward to try to dislodge her from the vehicle but that didn”t work, the press release stated.
That’s when Robinson “accelerated rapidly” out of the driveway onto the street where he drove roughly 30 yards before applying “hard brakes” causing Hervey to fly off the vehicle, slam her head on pavement and roll several yards, according to detectives.
“The footage further showed the suspect spending several minutes attempting to lift the unconscious victim into the vehicle before returning to the residence,” cops wrote.
Robinson allegedly waited 10 hours to take his girlfriend to the hospital. Cops obtained a warrant for his arrest on aggravated assault and two counts of tampering with evidence. He was charged with murder after Hervey died on Oct. 12.
The suspect “actively eluded law enforcement” until he hired an attorney and turned himself in to police on Friday.
He remains in the Navarro County Justice Center on a $300,000 bond.
Corsicana is roughly 55 miles south of Dallas.
