CALDWELL, Idaho (TCN) —Â A 42-year-old man will spend the rest of his life behind bars for sexually abusing children for years.
In a news release, the Canyon County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said a judge sentenced Kenneth Dial on Aug. 26 to life in prison without the possibility of parole. He was charged with five counts of lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor, three counts of sexual abuse of a child, two counts of sexual exploitation of a child, and one count of witness intimidation.
Prosecutors noted that Dial’s “criminal conduct spanned a 10-year period and occurred in both Ada and Canyon counties.”
According to the prosecuting attorney’s office, in February 2024, two children sought help at a home claiming Dial had sexually abused them. During the investigation, two other minors in Ada County told their mother that Dial “had sexually abused them for years.”
Authorities reportedly learned that Dial “had a long history of abusing children with numerous victims of physical sexual abuse, as well as online child exploitation.”
The judge who imposed the sentenced told the defendant, “There is no sentence I could give you that is enough of a punishment for the harm you’ve caused.”
