Inside ‘Manchester United Star Marcus Rashford Saves Three Players In Wolves Premier League Win’ Manchester United star Marcus Rashford went from zero to hero with the winner against Wolves on Saturday. The England international produced the goods in the closing stages having previously been left out of Erik ten Hag’s starting XI, bagging a late winner and seeing another chalked off for handball. And his goal also saved three players from embarrassment, with the Red Devils not good enough on the day.

Alejandro Garnacho
With Rashford dropped for disciplinary reasons, Alejandro Garnacho was given the chance to showcase his talents for United against Wolves.
But it was a day to forget for the Argentina international, who will surely learn from the experience in the Midlands.

Garnacho had a glorious chance to put United ahead in the first half but produced a tame finish, with Jose Sa managing to parry the ball away.
He was then hooked at half time, with Rashford coming on in his place and proceeding to score a late winner.
It would be harsh to go in too strongly on Garnacho given his young age but the United star will need to do better than this if he’s to become a regular in Ten Hag’s side.
Antony
United spent big on Antony back in the summer, choosing to land the Brazil international despite Ten Hag also being a big admirer of Cody Gakpo – who has since joined Liverpool.
His time at Old Trafford initially started well, with the Samba star netting against the likes of Arsenal, Sheriff and Manchester City.
But, at the current moment in time, Antony looks short on confidence and he was guilty of some poor finishing against Wolves.
He should have converted a header in the first half and, as the game went on, looked increasingly desperate as he sought to break the deadlock.
Antony has now gone 12 games for club and country without a goal or assist and he’s clearly struggling to live up to his huge £86million price tag.
Anthony Martial
When Anthony Martial is in the mood, the United star can be unplayable. He’s been good this season for the most part, scoring five goals from nine outings prior to the match in the Midlands.
But he looked flat against Wolves and cut an increasingly subdued figure at the tip of the club’s attack.
United were right to keep Martial back in the summer, with many previously expecting Ten Hag to cut the player loose.
Yet they clearly need an established No 9 to challenge the France international for a starting berth and to keep him on his toes.
Martial failed to cause the Wolves defence too many problems and he’ll be aiming to get on the scoresheet when United go up against Bournemouth on Tuesday (8pm).
Manchester United wasn’t at their usual swashbuckling best against Wolves on Saturday.
But winning when you’re not playing well is often an encouraging sign and Ten Hag will be delighted with the way his side dug deep to claim all three points.
Rashford was moody before the game, with the England international cutting an unhappy figure in the warm-up following his demotion.
Yet the 25-year-old has rediscovered his swagger this season and his goal, his 11th of the season, secured his side’s victory.
United will have to do better than this if they’re to get anywhere near winning the Premier League title this season, however.
