Mary Cosby is giving some new insight into her relationship with her husband, Robert Cosby Sr. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member tends to keep her relationship very private, but recently gave a very intimate look inside their marriage.

Mary spoke with People on Oct. 28, where she told the publication that she and Robert “still love each other” after being married for 27 years. “I haven’t turned him off,” she said, jokingly. “He still cooks for the family, and he’s our rock.”
Mary continued, telling the publication that Robert Sr. means so much to her and their adult son, Robert Cosby Jr. “I see us just getting old together, and I’ll always be standing there,” she admitted. “He’s just this solid piece in my life and my son’s life, and we couldn’t do it without him. We could not live life without him.”

Robert Sr. briefly appeared on RHOSLC Season 1, but did not appear on RHOSLC Seasons 5 and 6. Mary told the publication that it’s unlikely that he will return to RHOSLC. “He won’t come on the show for anything,” she admitted. “He’s like, ‘No, that’s for women. That’s not for me.'”
Mary Cosby reveals how Robert Cosby Sr. supports her and their son
Although Robert Sr. won’t be appearing on RHOSLC any time soon, she admitted to the publication that he supports her and their son, Robert Jr., who has struggled with addiction in the past, behind the scenes. “He always knows what to say, and he always knows how to say it,” she said.

“Truly, I told him the day before I came here, like, ‘You really know me, and I love that.’ You can be married to someone and have no clue who they are, even after 30 years, especially when the kids get older and you stop being a mom and you have to be a wife again,” she revealed. “You almost have to relearn your husband. But I actually know him.”

Mary further gave a look into Robert Sr.’s support during RHOSLC Season 6, Episode 2. During the episode, Mary explained that she would not have been able to be as strong as she was for Robert Jr. without the help of Robert Sr.
“I didn’t have a support system with him. I just had Robert Sr. I just have one,” she explained to her cast members. “I couldn’t have done it without Robert Sr. I couldn’t have done it all.”

She continued in a confessional, explaining how Robert Sr. spoke to Robert Jr. after he completed a rehab program. “Robert Sr. told him, ‘We cannot babysit you. You have the tools, and you know what you need to do,'” Mary explained. “So, we, like, made a pact that we would take one day at a time, and we’re letting him figure it out. And that’s how I deal with him.”
