MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (TCN) —Â A 38-year-old mother was recently arrested on suspicion of killing her two children, who disappeared more than a decade ago.
According to the Montgomery County Department of Police, in September 2014, 3-year-old Sarah Hoggle and 2-year-old Jacob Hoggle were reported missing. Their mother, Catherine Hoggle, was reportedly the last person seen with them on Sept. 7.
Authorities initially charged Catherine Hoggle with child neglect, obstruction, and murder, but she was found incompetent to stand trial due to mental health issues. She was treated at a psychiatric facility and released in July.
According to police, after her release, a grand jury indicted Hoggle on two counts of murder, and she was arrested on Aug. 1.
Hoggle’s children remain missing, and “the circumstances surrounding their disappearance are still unsolved.”
