Marysol Patton’s Mother Elsa Inspired Her New Career Venture

Marysol Patton is the now-retired owner and founder of The Patton Group, a PR and events agency, and current owner of clip-in extension company, Locks & Mane. But The Real Housewives of Miami cast member also has a major projects on the horizon, one of which was inspired by her late mother, Elsa Patton.

Marysol recently spoke with The Daily Dish, where she opened up about all of the exciting ventures that she has in the works. “I have a lot of things going on in my career,” she said.

“I created a jewelry line for HSN that’ll launch in October,” she noted. “I like jewelry.”

She’s also in the “process of finishing up a line of caviar,” inspired by and named after her mom, who passed away in 2019. “It’s called Elsa Caviar,” she revealed.

A love of caviar isn’t the only thing that Marysol has inherited from Elsa. She has also inherited her love of people and hosting them.

“You know, I’m always doing little events and things at the house and then inviting strangers too,” she said with a laugh. “We like to be surrounded by colorful people. A lot of them are quite cuckoo, which makes them colorful and fun.”

Marysol is also moving forward in honoring her mom’s memory. The businesswoman and her brother, Thomas Anthony Jones, decided to put Elsa’s Coconut Grove home up on the market in April, after it sat vacant for years following her death.

The “charmingly retro” home, built in 1958, comes equipped with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, two kitchens, and is more than 3,000 square feet, according to The Miami Herald. Marysol admitted that this was the right time to sell, especially after her dad, Donald Patton, passed away in 2018.

“I felt bad ’cause she loved the house so much…but we got to a point where we were like, ‘I think it’s time,'” she told The Daily Dish. “It’s been a long time. She’s been gone for a while. Dad’s been gone. It’s just sitting there. You know, it’s an expensive property. So we decided to pull the trigger.”

Marysol continued, opening up about her favorite memories from her parents’ longtime home. “She loved to have dinner parties and invite people over the holidays,” she recalled.

“[People] that had no home or anywhere to live or, you know, had no family. My house was always full of strangers in the holidays…Like a lot of out-of-work musicians…a bunch of characters,” she added.

How Marysol Patton is honoring Elsa Patton’s memory

Marysol has been active on Instagram since Elsa’s passing, where she chooses to honor her mother’s memory. Elsa was 84 years old when she passed in 2019, and has continued to be honored and remembered by loved ones, including Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen.

Marysol has taken to Instagram each August to remember Elsa on her birthday. “Happy birthday to the brightest star in heaven,” she wrote in a 2023 Instagram post.

She also took to Instagram that Mother’s Day, where she posted a sweet tribute to her mom. “It has been four years this weekend since you left your earthly shell,” she wrote in the caption. “Thank you for watching over me and blessing me daily.”
