Fraser Olender is apparently doing well after his vaping-related heart attack. This was revealed during the December 9 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where Fraser’s boyfriend, Matt Rogers, offered a quick update on Fraser’s road to recovery. Matt told Andy Cohen that the Below Deck chief stew was “doing much better” just weeks after being diagnosed with a lung injury.
“I know there are a lot of people watching that care about him,” Matt said. “Thank you so much. He’s doing a lot better. Don’t vape. Throw it away.”
Fraser Olender gets hospitalized during BravoCon 2025
Fraser opened up about his health condition earlier this month, after revealing he was hospitalized during BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas. The longtime yachtie told fans he began experiencing chest pain and breathing issues on Day 2 and was ultimately rushed to the hospital for “EKGs, X-rays, CAT scans.”
“My heart and lungs [were] having a bit of a meltdown – on BravoCon weekend, out of all weekends,” he wrote in a November 17 Instagram post, before alluding to his beau, Matt. “A very special human stayed with me until 5am whilst I laid there useless, attached to multiple machines and pumped with meds – sooo grateful for him, the nurses and the docs!”

Fraser Olender reveals he suffered a heart attack due to vaping
After returning to London for further examinations, Fraser was informed he had suffered an E-cigarette or Vaping-Associated Lung Injury (EVALI), aka “vape poisoning.”
“Whatever was in my vape caused me to have a coronary artery vasospasm,” he wrote in a December 5 follow-up. “Medically, that means the arteries supplying blood to my heart suddenly clamped down. That spasm reduced blood flow enough to cause an ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), better known as a heart attack – not because of a blockage, but because my heart wasn’t getting enough oxygen during the spasm.”
Fraser Olender confirms he hasn’t vaped since his trip to the ER
Fraser went on to warn others about the dangers of vaping and pledged never to pick up the habit ever again.
“I haven’t touched a vape since this happened and never will,” he continued. “The pain I endured for 24 hours was inexplicable… I could have died for the sake of something so ridiculously stupid, so please do yourselves a favour and give it up too – cold turkey. We do not know enough about these horrific things but I can tell you one thing; that was NO.”
