In the shot, originally shared by Bravo’s Instagram, Steven can be seen stating, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting results. Well, here I am doing the exact same thing and hoping for a different result.”
Steven then added his own commentary, complete with a laughing emoji: “Just here confirming this was indeed a mistake.”
In another IG Story, Steven posted a different moment from the episode in which he was beaming while walking beside Calah, to which brother Jesse McBee hilariously wondered, “What the hell is going on?”

Is Steven McBee Jr. single after his split from Calah Jackson?

Why Steven McBee Jr. was considering getting back together with Calah Jackson on Season 2
In the aforementioned episode of The McBee Dynasty, Steven Jr. and Calah met for coffee following their breakup amid the McBees’ drama-filled trip to the Ozarks and Calah’s “nuclear” confrontation with Cole McBee. As the dust settled, the eldest of the McBee brothers said he “realized some things” in hindsight.
“With as stressed out as I’ve been, I’ve put a lot of the blame on you, when I’m realizing that it wasn’t you,” Steven told Calah at the sit-down. “Like, no matter what happens or how I’m feeling, there’s never ever an excuse for me to lose control like that, and I’m sorry for that.”

Earlier this season, Steven said parting ways had been “hard as hell,” citing a “huge void” in the split’s aftermath. But, as seen in the August 18 episode, Steven wasn’t quite ready to throw in the towel.
“Obviously, she’s gorgeous,” he said in a confessional. “Honestly, I melt. I am completely weak whenever she looks this damn good. And yeah, we’ve been through some s–t together, but you know, this is my best friend.”
Calah said Steven’s apology “does mean a lot,” but the question of Calah being Steven’s plus-one at Jesse and Allie Ventresca’s wedding still lingered in the air.
