The Real Housewives of Rhode Island cast member Kelsey Swanson has officially introduced her “other man,” William “Bill” L’Europa, amid swirling rumors about her “very unorthodox” love life.
“It seems like the hot topic is who I’m dating, especially the other man that all these girls love to talk about,” Kelsey remarked in a confessional from Episode 3. “With my boyfriend, we’ve always kind of had a ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ relationship. But I do know that he’s not being loyal to me. And if you can do it, why can’t I?”
Shortly afterward, Bill made his RHORI debut during a coffee date with Kelsey. Read on for exclusive details on their romance, along with everything she spilled about their unique relationship on the show.

At the coffee shop, it quickly became apparent that Kelsey and Bill had known each other for quite some time. First, she recalled how his mom — whom she said she “just loved” — used to pack her lunch in high school, for example. Kelsey also asked about Bill’s sister before showing him a new photo of her nephew.

“We actually grew up together,” Kelsey explained in an exclusive interview with BravoTV.com. “I’ve known him since the 7th grade, and he was actually one of my first crushes. We kind of saw each other here and there in high school but always had different friend groups. Eventually, we connected a couple years ago and kind of stayed connected ever since.”
She continued, “He’s very, very generous and kind and sweet — and probably loves me more than anyone I’ve ever met in my life, other than my parents.”
On the subject of her parents, Kelsey noted on RHORI, “Every time my mom sees me, she brings up Bill. My mom just wants me to be with somebody who will help me procreate.”
That’s when a brief clip rolled showing Kelsey’s mom, Julie, asking her, “How’s my future son-in-law, Billy?”
“My parents, they know exactly how my relationship is with my boyfriend,” Kelsey said. “I’ve never lied to them. They really do love him, but they want me to have more for myself.”
Kelsey’s parents weren’t the only ones in the know about her arrangement with her mystery boyfriend of 10 years. “Bill has always known that I was in a relationship,” she added. “I’m somewhat keeping him at arm’s length until I kind of figure out where my relationship is going.”

After Kelsey opined that Bill would “be a good dad,” the two went on to discuss whether or not they want to have children in the future. While Bill shared that he would “eventually” like to have kids, but no more than two, Kelsey revealed, “As long as I have a nanny, I would have as many kids as needed.”
As she also told Bill, “I want to have kids. I want to be married. And I feel like, you know, I’ll never get that where I’m at.”

Bill, for his part, replied, “I think you deserve happiness in your life, and whatever makes you happy, make some big girl moves now. And obviously, if you need anything, I’m here to help you.”
Despite their apparent bond, Kelsey still had some reservations about going all in on a relationship with Bill.
“Although he’s very successful, he can’t offer me the life that I’m living, not having to work,” she said. “I don’t have any problem working. I can do it. It’s just, do I want to? No.”
At the end of their conversation, Bill floated the idea of moving Kelsey into his place, but acknowledged that it would be “a bit smaller” than the 16,000-square-foot home she was already living in.

Later in RHORI‘s April 12 episode, Kelsey and Bill reunited at Liz McGraw’s husband Gerry McGraw’s Studio 54-themed birthday bash.
“Bill is not my plus-one to the party,” Kelsey clarified in a confessional. “He is really good friends with Gerry, and he was always going to be at this party, no matter if I was there or not. So, this is not our hard launch.”
Nevertheless, she introduced him to castmate Alicia Carmody, who, later, commented in a producer interview, “This is the first time I’ve seen Kelsey and Bill out together.”
Details on Kelsey Swanson’s dynamic with her long-term boyfriend
Despite Bill stepping into the spotlight on RHORI, Kelsey has yet to name her long-term boyfriend, and his face continued to be removed from photos of them together in the episode. She did, however, share some new details about him in Episode 3, including the fact that he is a father.
“I love my boyfriend, but he will never budge on having kids,” Kelsey shared with a producer. “He has his own. But I don’t want to sell myself short of being a mom one day and having kids.”
Earlier in Season 1, Kelsey further unpacked the dynamic of their relationship, in addition to describing him as being part of “one of the most prominent families in the state of Rhode Island.” They met “on a boat” when she was 19 years old, she said, and they had been together for ten years at that point.
“For the first half of the year, my boyfriend is in Miami, and when he’s in Miami, he’s with somebody else,” she elaborated during the series premiere. “But now, I’m at that crossroads where I just hit 30, and I want more for myself. I want to be in a committed relationship with one person. But at his age in his life, there’s not one thing he’s going to change. He is who he is, and either I accept it or I have to leave.”
Regardless, in Episode 2, Kesley told her castmates that she “would be very happy,” whether she eventually ended up with him or Bill.
