While many Americans are savoring the final weeks of spooky season, it appears Melissa Gorga is already embracing the Christmas spirit. The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom suggested as much over the weekend — more than two months before the holiday arrived.

“I may or may not have a Christmas tree up in my house already,” she wrote in an October 17 Threads post, which she later shared on Instagram.

Putting up Christmas decorations before Halloween is definitely a polarizing choice, as many people believe the yuletide decor should remain in storage until after Thanksgiving. However, Melissa’s message garnered dozens of positive reactions, with some users claiming to have already started decorating for Christmas or plan to do so within the next week.

Look back at Melissa Gorga’s previous home holiday decor

As seen in previous years, Melissa has no qualms about displaying her Christmas tree weeks before Turkey Day. In early November 2024, fans got a glimpse at her gorgeous faux evergreen in her family’s Franklin Lakes home. The tree was displayed in the grand foyer and was right in line with Melissa’s chic, minimalist aesthetic, as it featured nothing more than white twinkle lights and a white skirt.

But the Gorgas aren’t a one-Christmas-tree household. Several weeks after sharing a glimpse at her festive foyer, Melissa posted a video of her and her daughter, Antonia Gorga, decorating a flocked tree in their family room. Although signficantly smaller, the piece was much more elaborate than the entryway tree, as it was covered with mix of white and metallic ornaments, including glittery poinsettias, pinecones, and large classic baubles.

Kyle Richards displays a holiday tree months before the Christmas season

In related news, Kyle Richards caused a bit of a stir this month when she posted a photo of her living room Halloween decorations. The image showcased classic pieces, like skeleton and witch figurines, as well as festive throw pillows shaped like pumpkins and ghosts. However, there was one item that had fans doing a double-take: a small conifer tree decorated with lights.

“That is a HALLOWEEN tree, not a Christmas tree,” Kyle explained on Instagram. “Let me live.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills continued to defend the decor in a recent Amazon Live stream, insisting her daughters were big fans of the Halloween tree.

“My girls love it. Alexia [Umansky] came home the other night and we all had dinner, and she was so excited about that,” Kyle said. “She’s like, ‘I need a Halloween tree!’ But it feels so cute and cozy, and this really gets you in the mood for fall. I don’t know, I love it.”

Kathy Hilton purportedly has a “year-round” Christmas tree

Kyle then reminded viewers that her big sister, Kathy Hilton, displays an actual Christmas tree inside her home months and months before the holiday season.

“Some people were very worked up thinking it was a Christmas tree,” she continued, “which, I mean, they should see my sister Kathy. She has a tree up year-round, at least downstairs. Little strange, not gonna lie.”

As she and others begins preparing for the upcoming holiday season, Melissa has remained busy expanding her sprinkle cookie brand. Get the latest on the flourishing dessert business.
