A 48-year-old Tennessee man has been arrested after he allegedly uploaded hundreds of files of child rape material.
Court documents show that Michael Francis uploaded 539 images and 145 videos between May 11, 2024, and October 15, 2024, WHBQ reports. Google made te initial report, the station said, but the reports went through multiple channels before they were sent to the Memphis Police Department.
According to an affidavit filed in the case, Google provided Francis’s name as the one the user provided as well as two verified phone numbers, both belonging to Francis.
Additionally, the user uploaded non-pornographic images and videos during the same time period that were self-produced — and they matched known photos of Francis.
Francis was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and is being held on a $75,000 bond. He is scheduled for a bond review on Friday.
