The Valley: Persian Style’s Mercedeh “MJ” Javid is sharing new details about where she lives amid her and Tommy Feight’s ongoing separation.

The real estate broker previously confirmed moving into a new home after filing for divorce in October, but according to her recent exclusive interview with The Daily Dish, she’s enjoying her new digs … even if she’s not far from her now-estranged husband of seven years.
“My current home, so, obviously Tommy and I moved out, but we’re in a cul-de-sac very close to each other, so it is very like new beginnings,” Mercedeh said. “Like, on the mornings that I have to wake up alone, I feel like I am 19 years old in my 19-year-old condo, which is wild and cool because it makes me feel like I’m young again, and then there is something really invigorating about having a space that’s totally yours.”
Mercedeh and Tommy’s son, 6-year-old Shams Francis Feight, continues to split his time between mom and dad, as Mercedeh has detailed on her Till the Dirt podcast. Meanwhile, Mercedeh — who joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Mauricio Umansky’s real estate firm, The Agency — continues marveling at the place she now calls home.
She continued, “It’s like one of those things where it’s very beautiful and white and high ceilings, which I love. I have a lot of natural light — that’s the realtor in me talking. But, if it’s a mess, it’s a mess I made … or Shams, of course.”

Mercedeh told Till the Dirt listeners that she loved how well-lit the new home was, particularly in her favorite room: the bedroom.

“I still can’t get over this bright white bedroom that I’m sitting in. It’s so freaking surreal,” she said on the Nov. 29 episode. “Obviously, I downsized. So it’s not like I’m saying that I moved in quite yet to my big house in Hidden Hills, but it is so beautiful and bright and gorgeous. And I can see the sky. And when I tell you, Tommy and I, like while we were happily married, I would say to myself, the next house we live in, we need to be able to see the sky.”
Mercedeh Javid reveals the reason she filed for divorce from Tommy Feight
When it came to Mercedeh’s decision to file for divorce, she told The Daily Dish that it was a matter of “self-preservation and self-worth.” She said, “You can choose that and love someone at the same time and prioritize your baby boy, which we’re both doing really well. I’m really impressed with how well we’re holding it down in this new chapter.”

Although she reported on the November podcast episode that co-parenting seemed “hard” because she didn’t know how it would affect Shams, she said on the Jan. 8 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen that the former couple talked daily. “Shams is our number one priority,” Mercedeh maintained.
What’s more, “I think the quality of our relationship is more authentic” since Mercedeh and Tommy went their separate ways.
