Mercedes Javid was focusing on the “little moments that feel like magic” weeks before her divorce from Tommy Feight made headlines. It was reported that the Shahs of Sunset mom filed for divorce from Tommy on Oct. 20 after seven years of marriage and one child together.
But, prior to this, Mercedes was making major declarations about her own life. The busy mom took to Instagram on Sept. 30, where she posted a video from inside a bedroom in a house, capturing a chic seating area with a photo on the wall stating “Dream Big.”
She also captured the stunning pool area outside of the bedroom window, as well as the plush white bed in front of her, before making a big declaration about life written over the video. “Prioritize your dreams,” she wrote. “Manifest your goals. Change is beautiful. Growth is necessary.”
This video was set to an audio track that stated something similar. “One day, you realize it was never about the big things,” the voiceover said. “You realize it was actually about the little moments that feel like magic.”

TMZ reported on Monday that Mercedes filed for divorce from Tommy, with whom she hosts a podcast. The couple wed in April 2018 in a ceremony in front of friends and family in West Hollywood. They then welcomed their now 6-year-old son, Shams Francis Feight, into the world in April 2019 after undergoing IVF to get pregnant.Â

Mercedes had majorly prioritized her friendships in recent months. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, Crystal Kung Minkoff, took to Instagram on Aug. 23, where she posted a photo of her hanging out with Mercedes, who had her arms wrapped around The Real Housewives of Miami‘s Marysol Patton. They also hung out with Mercedes’ BFF and “man of honor” in her 2018 wedding, Reza Farahan, his husband, Adam, and RHOM‘s Alexia Nepola. “Chaos,” Crystal wrote in the caption of the post.

In May, Mercedes took to Instagram, where she revealed that she had been hanging out with Vanderpump Rules alum Scheana Shay, posting the sweetest birthday tribute to her. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, [Scheana] and last week [Summer Moon Honey Davies],” she wrote in the caption of the post.
“Happy Birthday to my beautiful friend [Scheana],” she wrote in a comment under the post. “I am proud of you! Your strength, kindness, and heart inspire us! Cheers to another amazing year of you thriving.”
