The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s Meredith Marks is defending her so-called “erratic” behavior on the cast trip to Greece.
After Bronwyn Newport, Heather Gay, Mary Cosby, and Whitney Rose revealed their “concern” for her during Season 6, Episode 15 (more on that below), Meredith stopped by Bravo HQ and insisted that the ladies had nothing to worry about. As she saw it, there was a perfectly logical explanation for not divulging everything that was going on in her life at the time.
“I have plenty going on that I don’t share with the group, because why would I be vulnerable with people who are looking to hurt me?” Meredith explained in an exclusive interview. “I think I am very calm. I think I’m very composed. I think that these women have a long goal of making me get upset. And they like to poke and prod and poke and prod and poke and prod and wrongfully accuse me of all kinds of things.”
The RHOSLC ‘Wife further detailed how she often felt she was in a no-win situation with some of the ladies.

“They’ll set me up with this one saying, ‘You should talk more,'” Meredith claimed. “So, you start talking, [and] the next one’s like, ‘Don’t talk!’ If they were treated the way they treat me, I would love to see what their behavior is.”
Ultimately, she theorized that her castmates have been “trying to put a thorn between” her and Lisa Barlow for “years and years.”
“I don’t know why they are so afraid of us being friends. It’s so weird,” Meredith declared. “I don’t care who’s friends with who. I hope they’re all friends with each other, whether I get along with them or not. You should be friends with whoever you want to be friends with. Who cares? If you’re somebody’s friend, you’re not looking to decimate them in a group.”
Lisa Barlow defends Meredith Marks’ behavior on RHOSLC
During a separate visit to Bravo HQ, Lisa denied the other women’s characterization of how Meredith acted in Greece.
“When you’re in a group of girls and you know that your friends are not being your friends, you put up a different kind of wall,” Lisa reasoned. “She’s reacting emotionally to what they’re saying and doing to her. There’s times where you’re, like, emotional about something because you can feel what other people are doing, saying, how they’re treating you. So, you adjust your own energy. And that’s all I see happening.”

That’s why Lisa said viewers have seen her going to bat for Meredith so much this season.
“I stick up for her a lot; that bothers them,” she continued. “They don’t want me sticking up for Meredith. They want her isolated, alone, so she feels even more on the outs with everyone. I don’t like it. I don’t think it’s nice.”
Why the RHOSLC cast was “worried” about Meredith Marks
During a lunch with Bronwyn and Whitney on RHOSLC‘s Dec. 30 episode, Mary was the first to say, “I’m a little worried about Meredith. I’m concerned. … I think Meredith needs help.”
When Bronwyn asked what she meant by that, Mary elaborated, “Meredith’s going through something, and that is taking a toll on her mental [state]. The way she’s acting and her behavior, something’s going on. She has too many highs, too many lows, too many mediums. And it’s not adding up.”
That’s when Mary broke into tears.
“We all see it, but what saddens me is she doesn’t,” she continued. “She’s suffering, and I can see it. It’s not right, and I just, I don’t know how to help her.”
Whitney, for her part, referenced the previous plane incident involving Meredith and Britani Bateman, while sharing she’d also been “worried” for a while.
“She’s always got it out and been able to bring herself back down,” Whitney chimed in. “But this time, the rage was uncontrollable. But then, the next time we see her, she doesn’t even remember that it happened; she doesn’t take accountability for it. I can see that there’s something going on.”
Bronwyn, meanwhile, added that she’s “also worried about something,” before revealing that she and Todd Bradley had run into Seth Marks with a woman he said was an investor at a New York City restaurant, months earlier.
“As I watch her be so defensive about people talking about her marriage, there’s something wrong here,” Bronwyn opined. “It’s like she’s scared to death of something.”
Later on, Whitney recapped their conversation for Heather, who added in a confessional, “I feel relieved that more people are concerned about Meredith. I just know that she can be, like, unengaged and then immediately, you know, freak out. And, like, I don’t understand it, but it’s a pattern.”
