Southern Hospitality‘s Mia Alario has officially entered the chat with an unexpected take on the news that Justin Assad is dating Southern Charm-er Charley Manley.
Though Mia and Justin’s flirtations heated up more than ever on Season 4, Episode 6 of Southern Hospitality (more on that below), the Republic hostess revealed in an exclusive interview with The Daily Dish that she fully supports her castmate’s “very cute” new relationship.
“She’s such a cute girl,” Mia remarked while also gushing over Charley’s sense of humor. “They’re super sexy.”

Needless to say, there were no hard feelings when Mia found out that Justin and Charley are dating.
“I wasn’t surprised, I don’t think,” she added. “He always gave me flirty vibes, and we’re both sexy people. Why not flirt a little bit?”
Plus, when Mia and Justin first connected on the show, she was fresh off her breakup from boyfriend Troy Radtke anyway.
“Justin was a good auxiliary for me,” Mia explained. “When I was being sad through the breakup, he was a nice little distraction. But I’m happy he found his person. Now it’s my turn.”

Prior to hard-launching his relationship with Charley after the Southern Charm Season 11 reunion, Justin had been busy romancing several other women in Charleston. Though he was in a “situationship” with Republic bartender Jordyn — and also took her roommate Molly Moore out on a date — the Southern Hospitality newcomer eventually declared his interest in newly single Mia.
Plenty of flirty interactions ensued, leading up to the cast getaway to Edisto River, S.C. in their show’s April 8 episode. Sitting down by a campfire, sparks began to fly when Mia told Justin that she thought he was “sexy.”

“You too, are you kidding me? Look who’s talking,” he replied. “I feel like I won’t say much about myself, but I will say that I’m good energy. And I think that, like, if we went out, we’d have, like, an unbelievable time. So, that’s all that matters.”
Then, after making a playful deal with Michols Peña and TJ Dinch, Mia and Justin shared a fireside kiss. “That was electric. I loved that,” Justin told her afterward.
The next morning, some of their castmates asked if they were going to tell Jordyn what happened between them. Justin said that he’d already spoken to her and had gotten “cussed out” in the process. Mia, meanwhile, did not feel that she and Jordyn were close enough to warrant such a conversation.
“Justin is giving no signs that he’s a taken man, OK?” Mia further reasoned in a confessional. “He’s single as a motherf–kin’ Pringle.”

Of course, Mia is hardly the only one on King Street with an opinion on Justin and Charley’s relationship. Castmates TJ and Bradley Carter also spoke to The Daily Dish to give their thoughts on the new couple.
“We love it; we’re all in support,” TJ commented, before revealing that viewers might not realize that Justin and Charley actually share the same sense of humor. “Charley has a really good personality. She and Justin have really good banter, really light-hearted.”
Brad, for his part, agreed, but also pointed to the pair’s complementary qualities. “Yes, they’re a really lovely couple together,” he chimed in. “It’s like a yin-yang situation, because they’re really well balanced.”
