Florida police described a brawl among a huge group of teenagers in a Miami mall, but the massive law enforcement response raised eyebrows.

Cops in Miami, Florida, laughed off the rumors.
“No aliens, UFOs, or ET’s,” cops told the city’s NBC affiliate WTVJ in a Friday report. “No airports were closed. No power outages.”
“If there was an alien, every officer out there would have had their guns out and hiding,” Officer Michael Vega wrote USA Today.
Police claim 50 teens, possibly armed with sticks, were involved in a huge melee at the Bayside Marketplace, a local mall. Teens allegedly set off fireworks, the sound of which panicked customers–those customers believed this to be gunfire.
Officers said they arrested four teenagers.
“Nothing is being withheld from the public,” cops told WTVJ.
