A Florida woman is in jail, charged with stabbing her teen sister about 10 times after the girl tried to stop her from looking through her phone.
The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office says the incident took place mid-afternoon on Sunday in Cutler Bay, WPLG reports. An arrest report says the 15-year-old victim woke up from a nap in the living room and saw her sister, 26-year-old Lynn My Le, going through her phone.
The girl asked what she was doing and grabbed the phone, and Le armed herself with a knife, prompting the teen to flee toward the front door. Le followed and stabbed her about four times in the back. When the girl fell to the floor, Le stabbed her about six more times while the victim pleaded for her life.
Le stopped the attack at that point. She was charged with attempted murder but refused to speak with detectives.
It’s not clear who called 911.
Le was denied bond at a hearing on Monday. Her arraignment is scheduled for November 17.
