WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (TCN) — A 25-year-old man is in custody on suspicion of fatally stabbing his fiancée.
Inside the home, police located Martin’s fiancée, 33-year-old Mallory Myers, who the Detroit Free Press reports was on a bedroom floor with multiple stab wounds. Responders rendered aid, but Myers was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities reportedly recovered the weapon allegedly used to kill Myers in a sink.
In a statement obtained by the Detroit Free Press, Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said, “Domestic violence is a leading cause of death for women ages 15-44. Mallory Myers wasn’t a statistic. Her life had purpose, and she should be with us still. We intend to bring Mallory’s killer to justice.”
