Michigan Man Charged With Stabbing 19-Year-Old Brother to Death – Crime Online

A Michigan man has been charged with stabbing his teenage brother to death during a weekend altercation.

Macomb County deputies were called to a Lenox Township home Sunday night at about 10:30 p.m. and assisted a witness with CPR for the victim until emergency medical personnel arrived and pronounced him dead, WJBK reported.

Nathan Land, 24, was charged with homicide-manslaughter and was arraigned Wednesday. He was given a $100,000 bond and ordered to have no contact with the witness, no drugs, no alcohol, no weapons, and must wear a GPS monitor and not leave the state.

“This incident is a reminder that the cycle of abuse within families can escalate to unimaginable tragedies. Our pursuit of justice is unwavering as we strive to bring solace to the grieving family and send a resounding message that violence within our homes will not be tolerated,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.

Police did not release the victim’s name but said he was 19 years old, according to The Detroit News.

Land will next appear in court February 8 with a preliminary hearing scheduled a week later.
