The case of a 41-year-old woman found stabbed more than 100 times two weeks ago remains unsolved, despite a search of a home of a man who knew her and gave investigators “inconsistent statements” about the case.
Investigators searched the man’s home, but there was “no evidence obtained,” the paperwork says.
Janie Pendleton, a Milwaukee mother, was found dead by family members in her home on March 13, WDJT reports.
But according to a search warrant obtained by WISN, Pendleton appeared to have been “deceased for several days” at that time.
“Detectives observed a distinct shoe pattern on Pendleton’s right forearm,” an affidavit for the warrant says.
Other people were also named in the warrant, but so far police have not publicly identified any suspects in Pendleton’s murder or announced any arrests.
