Missouri police say that the body of a missing 13-year-old Kansas City boy has been found, a little over a month after his reported disappearance.
Fox 4 reports that police found the body of Jayden Robker in Gladstone on Saturday. Family members reported Jayden on February 2; he was last seen riding his skateboard to a QuikTrip gas station near Northwest Plaza Drive and Northwest Plaza Avenue in Kansas City.
“I kept telling my brother — I need to search those ponds. I just didn’t know there was another pond over there, or I would have gone and looked,” Jayden’s aunt, Susan Deedon, told FOX4. “Even if he ran away, he ran away for a reason.”
On Friday, police pulled the teen’s body from a pond “on the border of Kansas City, Missouri,” ABC 9 reports. A preliminary autopsy indicated no foul play, but police said they’re still investigating.
“The officers of both agencies extend their deepest sympathies to Jayden’s family,” Gladstone Police Captain Karl Burris said.
